| | | | If you are comfortable w/ the C programming language then I'd reccomend NQC w/ the RcxCC IDE combo. The others are all excellent, but the familiar C functionality will get you up to speed fast. You can get the URL'S at the Mindstorms Internals site (...) | | | | I like Not-Quite-C. I've had a lot of success using it for my autonomous robots, but in all fairness haven't really sat down and played with the other tools. | | | | (...) I use Visual Basic. You can get the "learning edition" at Best Buy for about $50. If you have newer versions of Word or Excel there is VB built into them and you can use that. | | | | Chris, If you want to do Object-Oriented programming with the RCX you can try Bot-Kit which is a free interface to the Dolphin Smalltalk language (available for $30).
