There is a good chance that the culprit is the entry fuse of the board. Check it
with an ohmeter...
This fuse is a tiny SMD one, rated 1.5A fast blow. It can be seen on this photo
(http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=362262) in the lower right
corner, between the long grey rectangular part and the small 8 pin integrated
circuit. This one is clear, it may be white with 1.5 written on it.
