is it not a good idea?
from the help file, it seems pretty straightforward:
nqc -Susb -firmware xxxxxxxx.lgo

The command line interface should work just fine, it's just not something I have installed on my machine, so I was trying to walk you through the way I do it in case you have the same interface. As to the error you get when downloading, I'm (...) (20 years ago, 13-Apr-05, to lugnet.robotics)
