Just for the record, I agree completely with what you said... but to
that end, should a team be disqualified because they designed it in
MLCAD? Or should they be disqualified if one of the team members wrote
a computer program that could compute an optimal gear placement strategy
for accomplishing a particular task in a minimum area? In principle, I
can understand why people who think NQC should be allowed are objecting
to the degree they have been, but as you say, rules are rules.

Now this has me curious. What constitutes "regular" construction
techniques? More specifically, what construction techniques are
considered "irregular"?
