Hi I have a 1.5 invention set with a serial tower. Meanwhile, my laptop do not have a serial plug. Then, I brought a usb tower. Now, I would like to know: - anybody using usb tower with linux kernel 2.6.x? - although this can sound as piracy, can (...) (20 years ago, 30-Jul-04, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Yup... I've been using LeJOS and the USB based tower in Linux in 2.6.x since January or so of this year. (...) Actually, it not only sounds like piracy, what you are suggesting _is_ piracy. (...) It doesn't sound like Alberto was trying to break the law. Alberto, at one point, LEGO was selling an upgrade kit for about $25. Their customer service is very helpful. If you contact them, they should be able to tell you how to get the (...) (20 years ago, 30-Jul-04, to lugnet.robotics)

Hi Alberto, (...) yes, and I take care of the driver as of 2.6.6 . You really don't need the LEGO Software. (If you just want the driver you can get the RCX SDK 2.5.) Jürgen (20 years ago, 30-Jul-04, to lugnet.robotics)
