Two interesting things not mentioned yet or explained:
The spybot has an eeprom region. You can store data there between
sessions. For instance, the spybot identity... allows you to number
each of the spybots that you have so they can tell each other apart.
You can keep scores or point values between games, etc...
The world relation table and proximity detection. The spybot can detect
spybot controllers and other spybots using IR pings. The pings allow
the spybot to determine a relative proximity. You get a reading such as:
Controller Beacon = Left, Near
Spybot 55 = Right, Far
Spybot 25 = Rear, Here
Spybot 75 = Nowhere
The spybot controller can be set in different modes; one is "beacon"
Spybot 75 used to be here, but now it is either too far away or is
behind something / can't be seen.
Spybot 25 is behind the unit, but is very close.

What interface to the PC is used? (IR/RC...) can it communicate with (...) (21 years ago, 23-Apr-04, to lugnet.robotics)
