   Or!  How 'bout using hot glue as the rapid prototyping material!?

I understand that "hot glue" is available as a (cold?) aerosol spray. Hot
about making something like a photo-plotter. You can have a tool-head with
masks for standard shapes: circles in various sizes, squares, beams, etc.
and create each layer in the same way the Gerber files describe a pcb
layout.

I've used hot glue for a lot of unintended purposes.  I've even
done quick casting with it for times I didn't have time to let poured
latex dry.

Education suppliers sell kits like that to teach children injection
moulding.
