Mindsensors Has recently developed a Fast Reading GP2D12
distance sensor, which derived power from motor port.

Ah :) this is more like it.

Some questions:

1) how many sensors could I power with *one* LEGO Battery Box ?
(I'd use a small LEGO 9V Batt Box instead of "loosing" RCX OUT ports)

2) ...and *one* RCX motor port ? How many of these would be safe to power ?

3) Would it be a problem to have the sensor(s) powered this way (9V box) for
a couple of hours ?

4) Can I use these with CyberMaster ?
(CM only accepts passive sensors)

Thxs :)

mc.
