Teoman,
Go to Google and search "h-bridge circuit" or "h-bridge schematic".
This one came up and looks pretty good:
http://www.robotroom.com/HBridge.html
It allows control of 9.6V to 18V DC motors using pulse width modulation.
Two circuits would use 4 lines from the computer. Two bits would be
used for motor speed control and two bits for direction.
Hope that helps.

Subject: Lego motor reverse with 2 switches
I built a lego robot, I am using linux as operating system. I also have
a simple circuit connected to the printer port that has 4 switches. (I
can activate or deactivate 4 circuits) .
My robot has 2 motors, and i need to forward or reverse each of them.
Thsi leaves me wit 2 switches per motor. Now how can I do forward and
reverse? One way is easy wiht a one switch, but when i try to add
reverse i get a short circuit
