That's pretty nice.  What software did you use to program it?

I used a java program. (I tried to look at your program but I couldn't quite
make any sense from it (not exactly a hacker).) So of course i'm using
LeJOS. Although LeJOS has its drawbacks it seemed perfectly sufficient to
accomplish an inverted pendulum. There were some difficulties with the motor
speeds though. I had to reduce the force from the motors almost to a halt.

It kind of works like a modified P-regulator. I suppose the regulator could
be made much more advanced to stabilize the robot further however, that
might make the reaction to slow.
