Hi all
I had a very unpleasant experience lately. I got a RCX ver 2.0 and a
control center. I decided that I was going to mod the control center to use
a wall adapter instead of batteries. I opened up the unit, and soldered 2
wires to the battery leads, connected the wall adapter, and voila, worked
like a charm. That done, I thought I could do the same to my rcx, found
positive and negative battery leads, soldered wires, set my wall adapter to
9v and turned on, beep, on, great. played with the buttons, everything
seemed to work fine, super. I turned it off..tried to turn it on again,
this time, I got half a beep and nothing on the screen. :-( now what? I am
not an electronics guru. Could somebody tell what might have went wrong?
Does anybody have any suggestions as to what I can do Help please! Thanks.
