If you want to use the 'official' Lego software, then I'm not sure what
Windoze OS's are supported - but certainly Linux isn't.
However, many (most even?) serious users end up using a 3rd party software
package called 'Not Quite C' (NQC) which runs on all Windoze and Linux
platforms.

Usual deal - yep.
Look around on the web though - there are lots of good special deals out
there and you could easily end up paying a lot less than that.
