Let me see if I've got this right. The RCX has an operating system in a ROM. This controls the basic I/O, timer, hardware details and communications. It also upon first start, loads another program from the PC - this is the Firmware we're talking (...) (26 years ago, 30-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics)
