Q. Does anyone know of a JAVA version for the 9751 controller - i would be
so happy!

I am currently using the older version of the Lego Dacta Control interface
- 9751 (interface 70909 - stamped underneath unit itself - the one with 8
inputs 8 outputs), im also using the controlLab software..

Searching the web till the weee hours i havnt been able to find a JAVA
interface to this controller. i came across tinyvm/leJOL all excited
thinking 'this is it', but sadly discovered that doesnt support the above
mentioned controller - only the RCX ..

It seems this thing connects to a serial port.
So you need a Java interface to the serial port like rcxcomm,
and you need to write a few classes that talk to the thing
(see http://troyda.sas.muohio.edu/paper2.html).

It would be nice to have some common abstractions
of the RCX sensor/motors in leJos and the 9751 sensors/motors.
