hi Pete,
Nice work , it looks good (especially in the far IR) !
I hope your business is running well.
From your previous work I know you also put the schematics on your site. As
someone
who wants to hold a solder iron sometimes, I'm very interested. I still remember
your great idea of using FETS to get a good power supply from the 2 unknown
wires
of the RCX-sensor port.
Maybe this information could be of interest to you (for the next generation ?),
see
Conrad productnr 17.25.00, small PIR sensor, here are the specs
Technische spec.: Halfkogelvormige Fresnell-lens, Æ-25 mm voor eenvoudige
montage · Voedingsspanning 3 -
12V/2 mA · Open-collector-uitgang 30 V/20 mA · Reikwijdte 12 m ·
Openingshoek
120° · Signaalbandbreedte 0,2 Hz
tot 10 Hz · Temperatuur -20 tot +70°C · Afm. 25 x 25 x 20 mm
Omvang levering: Geteste module met lens, maar zonder aansluitkabel.
Although it's in Dutch, you probably can read it (otherwise I could translate it
for you)
They had others too (from Seltec, even somewhat smaller) but I can't find them
anymore.
best regards,
Stef Mientki

| Techno-stuff is pleased to announce the availability of a Passive Infra-Red (PIR) sensor. This sensor detects motion of people and other warm animals. It is similar to the motion detectors used in lights and burglar alarms. For more information see: (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)
