Hi,
Just a few questions.
What type processor is it? (Pentium III or Pentium IV)
What OS?
The reason being is, there are some minor issues with Win98 and Pentium IV
processors, as well as having some major Hardware faults.
If you can get your hands on Windows XP or Windows 2000, try and perform the
same install and see if it works properly.
I have had various intermittent erros when installing a whole lot of software
and hardware on Pentium IVs.
This error probably has nothing to do with Lego and is most likely connected
to your Processor and Motherboard.
