Has anyone come up with any sensors using the conductive foam used in
packing IC Chips.  Years ago I saw a couple books on home-brew robotics and
they were using this foam as a pressure sensor.  Pass a current through the
foam and the resistance varies with the amount of compression of the foam.
On top of that the foam has a nice texture to it that would make for great
grippers on a robotic arm.
