I am looking for a pneumatic tubing substitute that is a great deal more
flexible than the rubber tubing supplied by Lego.  If anyone has ideas, or
experiences I would be grateful to hear about them.

I think the Lego tubing is PVC, rather than rubber. Silicone rubber
tubing might be more flexible, though I think it will also be heavier.
It's most conveniently found in small diameters at model shops, sold
as fuel tubing for model aircraft.
