Greetings All,
I had very much the same problem. "RCX not Responding". I had been able to
load the firmware and one or two small programs, before the unit died.
After many, many emails back and forth with the Lego Troubleshooter team,
They narrowed it down to a bad cable. It appears that there was and intermittent
open connection within the cable.
Lego sent me a new cable and it has worked perfectly ever since.
Have you tried pinning out your cable? That just might be the problem.
