I've built a self-leveling platform using a pendulum and light sensor approach. The response time of the pendulum is not very fast, but the platform does not move very fast either, so it works reasonably well. Details can be found here: (URL) that (...) (...) I made a pendulum based on a rotation sensor with some gearing but it wasn't very responsive. I got bogged down fixing bugs in the legOS rotation sensor code (since losing or adding a count meant seeking permanent TILT instead of level!). For (...)
