(...) NQC implements a syntax similar to C. In C, while and if statements have a single statement that is executed if the condition is true. A null statement is a valid statement, and a block of statements enclosed in {} can be substituted or a (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics)

In some cases Mark Overmars great RCX Command Center does not flag syntax errors for incorrect use of an ending semicolon, as in the example below. Could someone please explain how semicolons work in NQC? Perhaps there is a good reason for *not* (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Wow! I am so pleased to know that LEGO are keeping an eye on how those of us, who are actually prepared to express our opinions in a public forum like this, feel about their products. I had a great idea. I'm not sure if anyone has done this before, but I have found a way to make one motor drive four (or more) axles, individually! The downside is that only one axle can be rotated at a time and in only one direction, and I'm having (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Hello, I designed just such a drive, using worm gears instead of ratchets. It does, unfortunately, take a tiny amout of time to shift between moving forward and spinning in place.
