Since bringing my robots to the office (See the Lego Breaks thread), my one
lament was that it wasn't very easy to transport robots and pieces back and
forth to work (in my RIS, Code Pilot, and Research Sub boxes), which meant
that I couldn't very easily bring things home for the kids and I to work on,
or for me to work on over the weekends, etc.

I've been searching Wal*Mart, etc., for a while (we have 3 stores within a
5-mile radius of our house), and finally found something that is absolutely
perfect: The Plano 758 fishing tackle box:

http://www.planomolding.com/tackle/New%20Pages/ProductPages65.html for a
photo. The picture here shows 4 drawers, but the models now come with 2
"fixed" drawers and 2 model 3500 StowAways. (One could switch to 4 Stowaways
for an additional $7.99 plus $5.00 S&H.)

It only cost me $30, has loads of compartments (2 drawers are removable and
customizable with gobs of dividers) and will hold over 2000 pieces and STILL
have room for two RCXs and completed robots. (I've got the complete RIS,
Code Pilot, and Research Sub in mine.) If I want to be _really_ portable, I
can throw my laptop in my briefcase. (I work for a very lenient
company--they don't mind if we bring our laptops home for extra-company
projects.)

I had been looking for a while, but everything I ran into was either too
small, had too few drawers, or had a lid with covered compartments (useful
for some things but pointless for building).

I'll get some digital photos up in the next few days.

Wolfffishing.com (sic) has it for $45
http://wolfffishing.com/wfp/plano758.html and you can get it here
http://www.fishing-boating.net/hunting-fishing-inc/plan758fourd.html for
about $46. Another site, BeOutdoors.com has it for a more reasonable $39.99

(You'll definitely need to cut and reassemble that last link!)
