The only thing I know about them is that ultimate accessories contains a remote
control, which I have not been able to buy in Sweden.

I hope you can help me!

IMHO the UAS is quite a good kit; if you don't have a remote control,
then it could be the right purchase for you. It contains some very
interesting things: the remote, the two sensors, including a rotation
one, some extra pieces, and a lamp which can be quite useful for certain
light sensor-based applications, especially in certain light conditions.

The EM instead contains about 150 pieces, including a couple of magnets,
some common gears and axles, wheels, and some other extra pieces; all in
black/yellow/red colors. The best pieces for me are four 6x16 black
plates. I have to say that I found the EM quite disappointing, let's say
I expected a bit more for this long-awaited expansion set.

For $50, I'd certainly buy the UAS first.

Ciao

(...) Absolutely. The Ultimate Accessory kit has lots of useful stuff compared with the Exploration Mars. Kerry (24 years ago, 19-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)
