A while ago, one of our geared 9 volt motors (the new grey motor) stopped
working. I just chalked it up to attrition and sort of forgot about it. Today
another one stopped working. I was wondering what kind of lifespan do these
motors have?

Also, I sort of think there's nothing really wrong with the motor, maybe it's
just that the internal gears have slipped loose or something. Does anyone know
of a way to open up the motor and fix it if this is the case? I don't see any
easy way. I popped off the back of one of them and don't see any way to get
through to the gears without ruining the thing.

Thx!

just call Lego and they'll replace it for free, that is what I did. Adam Joe Kopena <joe@plan.mcs.drexel.edu> wrote in message news:Fv6vMs.BrM@lugnet.com... (...) Today (...) these (...) it's (...) know (...) any (...) get (...) (24 years ago, 28-May-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)
