Hi
I'm working at a method to transmit to a RCX that is not directly
aligned with the IR-tower (say that the little robot with the RCX
mounted on it can be anywhere in the range of 2-3 meters from the
IR-transmitter).
I want to use only IR communication, no radio or cable or anything else.
Has anyone already found a good solution to it?
Is it possible to use something to reflect IR-light?
Thanx in advance
Daniele

| (...) I've tried this in a room with vaulted ceilings painted white and gotten ranges exceeding 30 feet from RCX to IR Tower (measured along the ground). Just build your RCX robot w/ the IR port pointing straight up at the ceiling and aim your IR (...) (25 years ago, 18-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics)

| (...) On LOW power I've found the RCX hardly reads any signals at all. You must be very close to the tower/other RCX to read it. (V Cool) On HIGH though I can bounce the signal down the hall and it still reaches my bot. I'm only using the RCX codes (...) (25 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics)
