I have several of the X10 transmiters that we use for a roving (non lego) cam.
Here's what I've found.
I haven't yet set up my new xcam2 for LEgo mode yet but will.

Yes, I'd recommend having the receiver in the same room as the bot. The more
walls/people the signal has to go though the more "chirping" you'll get.

I don't know. Someone said here that less then 12volts caused the signal to be
really dark. I haven't confirmed this yet. But will soon.

It's very light. I plan on gluing a flat plate to the bottom of the Xcam2 and
add two technic beams. It should be very stable.

Sadly yes, it must be in a well lit room. It's teriable in low light.

It's pretty sad. It's not like a standard camcorder. I've found it should be
good for short range items. Aprox 1 to 4 feet. I've had mixed results with
bluryness...

The others I've heard are very sad...

| I've read all of the past threads on the X10 camera products for use with LEGO bots. Some questions for folks who have the Xcam2 and used it wireless: 1. Is there a directionality issue with the 2.4GHz transmitter, does the picture flicker when the (...) (25 years ago, 7-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics)
