  Re: Exploration Mars Camera

(...) Depends on the model. I have an XCam as well, but it's the older one in a square box. It does not have audio, and the power connector is a big fat T connector. The newer XCam without the integrated transmitter, but uses the phone style (...) (24 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Exploration Mars Camera

(...) Not bad. It's being used as a pan&tilt webcam at the office. I wish it could see in low light better though. After seeing the posts about a "dark image" when running too little power to it, I keep thinking I should get a variable power supply (...) (24 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Exploration Mars Camera

(...) I was referring to the Xcam2 in my last posts. I almost bought the Xcam unit (Square one) for the same reason. But I have the Xcam Anywhere. How do you find the picture quality? I just received my Xcam2 (Broken) and am waiting for it's (...) (24 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics)

I guess mine was just bad... I'll know soon. As for low light. It's the (...) (24 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  RE: Exploration Mars Camera

(...) The smaller (and cheaper) the CCD sensor, the worse it's low light performance. There's not much you can do about that, except to turn on the lights. All those cheap PC webcams have the same problem. The Lego camera will have the same problem. (...) (24 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Exploration Mars Camera

(...) The first two are very similar I believe. But the Xcam2 is new tech. There is no way to focus the camera. They state it does it it's self. That's good for roving cams. I plan on gluing a 4x6 plate to the bottom of it and also a couple of (...) (24 years ago, 26-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics)
