The problem would be doing the timing 'accurately'. You could do a 'nibble at
a time' interface, by setting the motor to one of sixteen states, holding this
for a moment, and then setting another state. This would give a better data
rate, without quite such accurate timing being needed (you would have to add
synchronisation markers - perhaps use the seventeenth possible state on every
fifth character to prevent the clock drifting). You could send a reasonable
amount of data this way, but the question then has to be 'why bother', since
you can use the IR port to send messages, and this supports 2400bps, which
even with the overhead associated with the message format, allows a couple of
hundred bps transmission, without losing a motor output...
