First, I have to thank whoever it was last Wednesday that posted the item
saying LEGO was looking for people around Chicago.  Two cool things came of
it.  1) I met Dave Baum and 2) I got to see the new camera.

They showed us a prototype of the camera.  It looked pretty much like a
standard color camera with (LEGO dots) that attaches to a computer via a USB
port and a 15 ft cord.  I wasn't that excited about the 15 ft cord.  It also
comes with some pretty cool software that allows you to monitor the video
input and can send commands to a robot (through the tower).

It's designed to be independent of the RCX, but they can be used together.

And they also confirmed that the Mars [whatever] Expansion WILL be coming
out.

Finally, a LEGO "robotic vision" system ! :)
(TLG must have lurked our Robotic Vision threads, ehehe)

Can't wait to get my hands on the specs of the hardware and
software API.

Will GHOST.OCX deal with Vision Command System ?

Let's hope that this is a open(able) system, so others can
expand it.

Oh, and thxs Jim for the complete text, 'cause I only have
web access at
lunch-break hours (weird uh ?).
