None of the current two expansion sets have any (official) sensors. They are
both kinda lame. At least Robosports has another motor. Extreme Creatures
has an interesting optical element, which many people have gotten to work
as a crude rotation sensor.

| (...) I've used it as a rotation sensor with great success. The only difficulty is, that you have to implement your own counter routine, which knows the direction, the axle is turning. Therefor you can use this device only in a driven axle. (25 years ago, 31-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)
