 | | Bibo Rollup Release
I've been asked if I could make the patch collection updates available as a full-distribution release. Actually, I can't say that I blame that request. Most of the changes have already been covered in prior lugnet postings under the "BrickOS Patches (...) (16 years ago, 15-Sep-09, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

No, it will not work. Due to Apple's restrictions, any device that a developer wants to talk to over Bluetooth must be brand-new and approved by Apple. The developer of the iNXT Remote app says that if the restrictions are changed, he will gladly (...) (16 years ago, 12-Sep-09, to lugnet.robotics)

 | | Re: RCX with Visual Studio

It won't be easy to write a program with Visual Studio that runs ON the RCX. It should be pretty easy (for a programmer) to write a program that runs on a PC, and uses the IR tower to send commands to the RCX, telling it what to do. Also, you can't (...) | | GCC 3.4.6 vs. 4.4.1
While working on Bibo, I observed some unexpected differences between GCC 3.4.6 and gcc 4.4.1. Specifically, one of the XS Lisp demo programs that is fine when built with 3.4.6 is too large (section .bss not within region ram) when built with 4.4.1. (...)
