I was wondering if anyone has seen some hints at the following information: What Bluetooth profiles will be supported by the NXT? Will it support the RFCOMM sockets? Has anyone seen any detailed info about the Bluetooth support in NXT? (other than (...) (20 years ago, 18-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Let me throw in here: the reason to port a high-level language like Java (or my favorite, Python) to a machine like NXT, even though there may be some compromises: Programming is hard. Programming in a language that is closer to the machine is (...) (20 years ago, 18-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)
