(...) The parts selection isn't that good in the expansion packs. The Extreme Creatures pack has the fiber-optic set which might be useful to some tech-heads. The Robo Sports has some "cute" plastic sports accessories, but hardly anything useful, (...) (23 years ago, 22-Nov-02, to lugnet.robotics)

I just got back from the First LEGO League competition in Cincinnati Ohio. I got a sweet volunteer job there. I got to be the helper for one half of the practice table. Now that's a well cool idea! We could set up 'formulas' based on the parts usable by the cars and the programming allowed, something like Formula 3 - standard RIS kit only, regular/NQC RCX code Formula 2 - standard RIS kit only, any (BrickOS, QC, (...) (23 years ago, 22-Nov-02, to lugnet.robotics)

I have given this a fair amount of thought that is not reflected in the sample track. For example, the track should have shoulders on both sides of the gray scale that are opposite to the color on the respective sides of the gray scale. In other (...) (23 years ago, 22-Nov-02, to lugnet.robotics)
