Last night I took apart my Microscout just to see what was going on... Unfortunately, my pictures look like crap, so it'll be a few days before I post those (at least, the closeups of the guts). Don't cut anything. In this exact same situation, I use a pair of medium pulley-wheels, mated together with half-pins through the six outer holes (3 in one direction, 3 in the other). There is very little grip area, but because you are right at the (...) (23 years ago, 17-May-02, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Purist approach is to use a 9V train speed reg and LEGO(r) wires from the speed reg to your motor(s), possibly through the polarity reverser switch to give control. I find batteries a pain, especially as there output isn't constant over their lifetime, therefore I'd love to be able to power my motors from the mains. I'd like to know what methods their are are doing this. I'd prefer a purist option but I do know (...) (23 years ago, 17-May-02, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

Well, this is probably off-topic for this forum, but I couldn't really find a suitable one and it *does* involve Mindstorms parts, sort of. ;) The one piece that seems not to be available but always in need for me is a part with a short axle on one (...)
