(...) Actually, i think you could use TWO rotation sensors because the rotation sensors work in both directions, and Lego generally doesnt go up and down (but it might if you had some sort of maze with ramps). (24 years ago, 12-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) I ran my rotation sensor in an experiment at nominal motor speeds of 300 rpm and didn't lose a single count in over 10 minutes of testing. I believe the 1250 RPM figure...although you may be right about it being worse with the RIS 2.0 (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)

My replacement for spirit.ocx does not yet support sending messages to the RCX, but it would only take 10 min to add it. (It is planned, but first I am working on cloning spirit.ocx). As for receiving, the IR tower shuts down to fast to reliably (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)
