Re: wireless X10 cameras - any good?

(...) The video works reasonably well where the lighting is good. I've never been to thrilled with the audio. You will need a video capture device in order to get the signal into the PC (which I see you have after reading the rest of your message). (...) (24 years ago, 5-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics)

wireless X10 cameras - any good?

I hope this isn't too off topic, but has anybody actually bought and tried out these wireless X10 cameras that are advertised all over the web? I'm thinking of using one in a Lego mobile robot. I have an Intel webcam that has a composite video input (...) (24 years ago, 5-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: NQC, Mac OS X, and the USB IR Tower.

Hi Dave, Thanks for responding. Your efforts have been outstanding! I'm using a G4 Cube. The tower is connected to a 17" AGP monitor. I've never used an earlier version of the system. That's an interesting story. I was having mysterious ethernet (...) (24 years ago, 5-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Robolab 2.5

Could anybody tell me how to proceed to install the Lego-camera with Robolab 2.5 under Windows 2000. I tried the highly recommended Web-help at the Robolab-support, but I definitely got no answer from these Lego-guys. Nor did I get any reply about (...) (24 years ago, 5-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: IT or ginger

I think there was something similar to this using legOS to move a uincycle like contraption and keep it balanced. Do a search on lugnet, and see if you can find it. IIRC it was a pretty hard task to do. Ooh, I think I remember - that contest site (...) (24 years ago, 5-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  IT or ginger

Don't know if you know about this, but it was unveiled yesterday. Final release name is the Segway Human Transporter. Unfortunately it doesn't live up to the hype it attracted. See: (URL) and built by Dean Kamen's company and over $100 million in (...) (24 years ago, 5-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: NQC, Mac OS X, and the USB IR Tower.

I haven't tested with 10.1.1 yet. Were you using 10.1 (or even 10.0.4) previously? If so, was communication more reliable? What Mac are you using? I'm just trying to isolate the problem. (...) (24 years ago, 5-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics)
