RELEASE: LegoSim A UNIX-based Simulator for LegOS with an Applet-GUI LegoSim is (yet another) simulator for LegOS. URL: (URL) another simulator? At the time the project started, there was no other simulator. Once Emulegos was announced, we did not (...) (26 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Brian, this looks very useful; I'll try it out soon! NQCIPC made perfect sense to me, but I have had my Nerd Merit Badge for a long time. People who have never done anything with multitasking before will not recognize other related words like (...) (26 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Igor: Sounds like you have two problems, with the LCD being a separate one from the sync errors. For communicating with the board via IC.exe, try changing your port settings to 9600/8 data/no parity/1 stop/Xon/Xoff/FIFO buffers enabled. I don't have (...) | | Re: Running stepper loop at specified (varying) frequency?
Greg: You can run assembly from within Interactive C, so if IC isn't fast enough for you, you can build in something that is. However, IC will execute pretty quickly in terms of how fast steppers run, so it could be that IC will work for you as-is? (...) (26 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Cool! I'll add this to the HOWTO when I do the 0.2.0 update. Are there any plans on the horizon for either emuLegOS or LegOSim to update to 0.2.0 anytime soon? | | Robotics demo
Hiya all, While it was a bummer not going to Mindfest, what I did do was a robotics demo at a local SF convention in Denver. I had 6 robots there with me. Four DIY types (one used LEGO pneumatics for a scoop) a Parallax BoE-Bot and a Mindstorms kit. (...) (26 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

 | | Re: lego Technic "class"

(...) Generally not. I've built robotic platforms that use a pair of motors to drive the wheels so that the robot can move "straight" or turn in place. I've found that the motors typically have large variations in speed that make the robot veer to (...) (26 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.edu, lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

If you have an abnormal foot size why do you need to buy twice as many shoes as those who do not? I could understand if you had an abnormal foot or something which would create an odd wear pattern on a certain part of the shoe but would just a (...) (26 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)
