I am coaching a team in the FLL contest. I need a supply of those 5 or 6 nub diameter foam balls -- at least 30. Does anyone have an idea of a source? Is there any similar thing that comes from Nerf? How many balls come with the RoboSports expansion (...) (26 years ago, 20-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

It looks like they have changed the boards fairly significantly. Many parts substitutions -- notable the capacitor farm looks like it has been replaced by a battery backup capacitor. The overall parts count seems to be reduced in more places than (...) (26 years ago, 20-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Cool! This is what I origianlly designed pbFORTH fro, so you could upload source prom your PalmPilot via the Serial interface to the IR tower... (...) Hmmm, see those big hols at the bottom of the board? Add the three little holes above those? And the big cap in there? I'll bet we could solder a power connector in there if we had to. I was wondering about the speaker as well. The old RCX definitely can beep, and make a whole host of other sounds. Not being an electronics engineer, I'm was uncertain of my ability to identify the speaker on the 1.0 board. It's not the thing that's (...) (26 years ago, 20-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)
