  Re: 10024Red Baron

Thanks for the review, Richie. (...) Here I would have to disagree. I don't find either of the Camel or the Baron to be particularly sturdy and hence not particularly swooshable. The new struts on the Baron seem to come apart as much as the Camel's (...) (22 years ago, 28-Nov-02, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.loc.au)

I applaud your thoroughness, however, regarding the following passage: "...the tester decided not to continue out of fear for the strength of the Baron’s tailskid (his sole LEGO brown minifig shovel).   Re: Plane Sailing? (was Re: 10024Red Baron)

(...) Definitely. I don't have a Wright Flyer to test at the moment (donations cheerfully accepted, though!). As soon as I do, rest assured that I will subject it to the standard array of swooshability tests, and report the results. I do not have (...)   Re: Plane Sailing? (was Re: 10024Red Baron)

(...) Yes, I beliewe the Wright Flyer would have serious difficulties completing your test program. My initial testing sofar has proven very unsuccesfull. There will also be a slight problem with the ground strafing manouver, unless of course a (...) (21 years ago, 29-Aug-03, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Having worked on aircraft for 8 years I can tell you that is a little bit of a no-no (only a little bit, as fencing wire 'was' considered ok on early planes, ie (...)
