  Re: [Review] 3451 "Sopwith Camel"

(...) Yes, this is what we all seem to like. In my eyes this is at least the best set since 5571 - maybe even better! It got my 100% vote. (...) I have made some small chances to give room for the legs of a technic figure. Additionally the seat had (...) (23 years ago, 14-Jun-01, to lugnet.modelteam, lugnet.reviews)

  Re: [Review] 3451 "Sopwith Camel"

(...) I just got mine Friday and built it, and I mostly agree with Larry's ratings (though I would actually rate playability a bit higher, it's fragile, but does hold together if you don't stress it too much). (...) I did try a Creator minifig, and (...) (23 years ago, 3-Jun-01, to lugnet.modelteam, lugnet.reviews)

Re: 6776 Ogel Control Center Set Review

(...) The Mech sets, (Blok Bots). There is one in each of the 4 sets, (ok, the initial 'Scuba' set had 2 Mechs in it, which means that if you picked up all 4 of the originals, you end up with 5 stiff turntables). The double set may not be available (...) (23 years ago, 22-May-01, to lugnet.reviews)

Re: New Dinosaur set reviews, 6721, 6722

(...) Horrible alternates, agreed. "Iguanodon" might pass if they called it a plateosaur, definately better than the real set of it! But this set looks like it has very good parts! (...)   Re: New Dinosaur set reviews, 6721, 6722

(...) Mosasaurus can be made into Dimetrodon, Postosuchus, and Iguanodon, although none of the alternates really look very much like the creature they are supposed to be. Tyrannosaurus Rex can be made into Spinosaurus, Ouranosaurus, and (...) (23 years ago, 17-May-01, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.general)

Re: New Dinosaur set reviews, 6721, 6722

(...) Yes I meant centrosaurus, thank you. Though I think the Styracosaurus comes with a bronto head too to build a camarosaurus, but I can't remember quite. That may be the Mosasaurus set. The Mosasaurus alternate models are a "dimetrodon" that (...) (23 years ago, 17-May-01, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.general)

Re: New Dinosaur set reviews, 6721, 6722

(...) _Camarasaurus_ is a sauropod realted to _Brachiosaurus_- are you sure you don't mean _Centrosaurus_? What is the mosasaur's alternate model? And where can I buy these things? (23 years ago, 17-May-01, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.general)

New Dinosaur set reviews, 6721, 6722

After much anticipation I got my two dino sets in the mail on saturday built them, played with them, reflected on them and here review them. I hedged my bets by only ordering 6721-Mosasaurus and 6722- Styracosaurus. These to me looked like the more (...) (23 years ago, 14-May-01, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.general)

  Re: 7317 Aero Tube Hangar

I just got this set as well. I agree with Aaron's review. This set is extremely large when you get it all put together and is very impressive. It certainly doesn't have many basic bricks, but it has plenty of plates and specialized space parts. (...) (23 years ago, 4-Apr-01, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Creator is here!

(...) I picked up 4177, "Building Stories with NaNa Bird", last week at the MOA LIC. I think it was mis-marked at only $20 (378 pieces, plus it includes a videotape), or maybe it's a promo set with a lower price. Anyway, it also has a number of (...)   Re: Creator is here!

(...) I got the 4119 (transparent bricks) at Legoland CA about 2 weeks ago. There ws nothing special about it, just a few 2x2 transparent bricks that I have never seen before (not that that means anything, lol). The book was really neat - great (...)
