Yeah i noticed there is a lot of binding in the drivetrain.
It seems to be caused by the Perpendicular Axle joiner that is placed in
between the bottom suspension arm on the same axle as the bottom of the
shocks.. The shocks are also a bit too long. IMHO..

Well after approximately 5 hours, I just finished building my recently
acquired 8880 Supercar, and frankly it lives up to the hype...
Very good working features, drivetrain is quite remarkable.
The best part is the number of beams and other useful pieces there are in
this one set. Definately a must have for a keen technic collector..

Yeah I also like this model. The only probably I had with the drivetrain • is
that it's hard to motorize, but other than that it is quite innovative. • And
yeah, this set comes with tons of beams (I think the only set that might
rival it in beam count is 8485, but I'm not sure) and a great mix of • generic
and specialized pieces as well.

Totally agreed, Jason. I also recommend the 8868 AirTech Claw Rig as a • pleasant
diversion. Expensive and difficult to find, but a wonderful feat of • Technic
engineering. It has an on-board air compressor!

I really like this one too. Best Technic set of all time in my opinion;
excels is almost every way, looks neat, fun to build, awesome functions,
good playability, great piece selection...almost perfect :-)

BTW what is a "CV joint"? Is it that piece on the 8880 which the wheels • lock
on to (and a beveled ball fits inside)?
