Lego Studio Steven Spielberg Moviemaker set Review

My first impressions of the (1349) Lego Studio Steven Spielberg Moviemaker set. (As of this date there is no Newsgroup for this type of set. Cross posted to lugnet.robotics.vc) Purchased at Toys R Us for $250 Canadian. First, let me say that I used (...)   Re: 5934 Track Master / Dino Explorer review

I bought this set about a month ago. I didn't like the vehicle on the front, but I really liked the alternative one on the back. It looks more aggressive for exploring Dino Island. (...) (24 years ago, 26-Oct-00, to lugnet.reviews)

  8505 Amazon

Review *** out of ***** Pros: You can change the angle of the arm, good parts including a cool jungle cat faceplate Cons: Head/arm gear moves too slowly, resemblance to Kermit the frog Amazon was my second Throwbot. He is okay, but not as good as (...) (24 years ago, 20-Oct-00, to lugnet.reviews)

Re: 5934 Track Master / Dino Explorer review

Oh, well, I never thoguht of that ^-^ Actually, I love these new dino sets (well, not the track master then) and I'm planning to buy all of them, to play with them together. It would be fun! --Tobias (...) (24 years ago, 20-Oct-00, to lugnet.reviews)

  Jet Alternate Model

I did it! Torso- pretty much copied from Ultrarex's dual throwing arm, from Jet's instructions. Most pieces in this arm are found in Jet (in different colours). I was missing one friction peg, as Jet only comes with three (one is a spare), but it (...) (24 years ago, 15-Oct-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.technic)

  I got the Jet Throwbot!

***** 8504 Jet 42 pieces $5.99 US/ $9.99 Canada (paid $7.99 Canada, as LEGO was 20% off) Pros: it's fun to build and play with Cons: none of significance Jet is great! His flight mode reminds me of a mechanized pterodactyl, but that might be just (...) (24 years ago, 14-Oct-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.technic)

5934 Track Master / Dino Explorer review

I bought this set, just to have a red pterodactyl ^-^ I'm pretty dissappointed, though: 1. Red looks awful on a pterodactyl 2. The set isn't that good. It's a vehicle on threads, and a small rock with a fire, plant, and water barrel. Included is (...) (24 years ago, 9-Oct-00, to lugnet.reviews)

  5904/1280 "Professor on Flying Thing"

I don't know what name this set has. It's somekind of flying device, but it could never fly for real, due to the lack of a tail rotor. It's like a helicopter, but it doesn't have the tail rotor (and the main rotor is to small) and without a tail (...) (24 years ago, 1-Oct-00, to lugnet.reviews)

  4285 Classic Bucket reviewed

I found this one on sale (9,90 USD, converted from SEK) in my toy store, and since it was a) A bucket b) Fairly cheap I bought it. I'm not very impressed with the models pictured on the bucket, and in the small book that comes in the bucket. (...) (24 years ago, 29-Sep-00, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: 5935 Island Hopper review

I saw the Island Hopper in a store today, and was very impressed with the alternate models they were able to do. I really want one of these sets, although I doubt I'll get it before Christmas. (...) (24 years ago, 23-Sep-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.adventurers)

(...) Yea, TLC should be ashamed on this point. (...) Standard Gail Storm face. (...) Not sure why the tail separates, but I think the wings fold for stowage on a ship. (...)   Re: 5921 Research Glider

(...) The brick with the clip on the side has appeared at least as early as last year. The Naboo Swamp set uses several to hold the "vines". (...) The cap is the kepi from wild west, now in brown. It also has appeared in blue (wild west), dark grey (...) (24 years ago, 23-Sep-00, to lugnet.reviews)

  5935 Island Hopper review

I bought this because it wasn't very expensive for such a big set, if it was Star Wars it probably would have costed 35 dollars, but it was only 22,9 in my toy store. (Prices converted from SEK to USD) It's a nice set, and it has a lot of (...) (24 years ago, 23-Sep-00, to lugnet.reviews)

  5921 Research Glider

These sets probably have been out for a long time in the US, but they're new here in Sweden. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into my local toy store today and found it full of new sets. I bought the 5921 and 5935. There are some useful/cool (...) (24 years ago, 23-Sep-00, to lugnet.reviews)
