In the muddy marshlands of Japan, a young emperor is slowly gaining power. He
has a small stronghold, and with the princess by his side, he knows it won't
be long until he takes over...
...or something...
... a few notes about the set:
-Good thing: model. I like it a lot, looks very forceful and solid even at its
small(ish) size.
-Bad thing: interior. Generally speaking, there isn't any, aside from a canon
and a trap. Whoa, cool. Not.
-Very good thing: piece selection. Lots of tan (yahoo!), and a fair amount of
grey and black. Blue low slopes, including two 3x3 corner slopes. Brown
baseplate. Very limited number of juniorized pieces.
-Very good thing: minifigs. The red ninjas are just colored versions of the
grey, but I like them anyhow. The emperor's torso is cool, and the princess'
face is great.
-Small nitpick: price. At full retail it's a bit too high.
Statistics:
pc count: 328
m-f count: 4
retail price: $39.99
All in all, I found this a great choice and I'm glad I bought it. If I would
given an opportunity to rebuy it, I still would've. If I find it on discount,
I won't hesitate to get a second copy! Great 'figs, great pieces, good model,
OK price; I recommend the set to any castle fan, ninja-fan or not!
