  Re: 6462 & 6479 Reviews

(...) altogether (...) I've got both, so here it goes, with playability defined as playing with something once it's built: 1) 6462 Aerial Recovery is good because you've got a net, a grappling hook, a motor-trike, dingy and a stretcher. Okay fun for (...) (26 years ago, 30-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

Request Review for 4552 Cargo Crane (Train)

Can anyone give a review of the Train Cargo Crane 4552 available only from S@H? I'm not a train type, but I'm looking for a good crane. It looks like the crane could be mounted on truck type wheels (or other vehicles) and the other pieces look good (...) (26 years ago, 30-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: 6462 & 6479 Reviews

(...) Hi, I like the set 6462, but should admit that helicopter could be nicer if it has longer main rotors and norrower landing skids. Look nice fronm sides (nicer than the picture on the box) but sucks from front or back. Anyway, it is nice to (...) (26 years ago, 30-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

  6462 & 6479 Reviews

I am thinking about purchasing the following sets this weekend. Could I get some feedback from anyone who has purchased these sets as to the playability and types of pieces of each set. I will skip buying them altogether if the pieces are too (...) (26 years ago, 29-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Arhcive of Reviews

One suggestion would to incorporate the reviews or link to them on the pause set pages. Personally I go to Pause when looking for a set number that is up for auction and it would be really nice to read someone's opinion of it before I pay double or (...)   Re: Review 6047 Traitor Transport

(...) Yeppo. Everyone, please do. A lot of work went into it (not so much lately, since it's pretty mature now and needs fewer "tweaks"), and I think it really does enhance any collection of reviews for all of them to have about the same "data (...) (26 years ago, 23-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Shop at home?

(...) (2) What do you want me to say? This is more a market discussion than a review discussion so I set the followups there. Arguably they should go to off-topic.debate Given that we live in a system that, under my world view, lacks moral authority (...) (26 years ago, 23-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Shop at home?

Mike Stanley wrote in message ... (...) deal, (...) Where's Larry in all of this? I figured one of these messages would have been from Our Favorite Libertarian as soon as the topic shifted to tax evasion. Jesse ___...___ Jesse The Jolly Jingoist (...) (26 years ago, 22-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Arhcive of Reviews

(...) dan jezek told me a couple of months ago that he was going to drop out of the lego scene after losing interest in it all (he subsequently sold much of his collection to my knowledge) i'm going to miss his links page (he also did that very cool (...)   Re: Shop at home?

(...) Well, for most of us, myself especially, we're talking about such a small amount of annual purchases that I bet the state is only missing a couple of dollars each year. (26 years ago, 22-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Shop at home?

(...) Well, you're probably _supposed_ to pay sales tax. If you don't though, that's between you and your state's tax collectors. :) (26 years ago, 22-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Shop at home?

(...) It's Lego's direct phone-shopping service. You can order any of the current sets + a few exclusives + sometimes they have old random stuff. For the first part of each calendar year, they offer weekly specials -- usually 50% off selected sets. (...) (26 years ago, 21-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

  Shop at home?

I apologize for this being a bit off topic, but I'm uncertain what group I should post this to. I have heard vague references to "Lego Shop at Home" - would someone be so kind as to tell me what this exactly is? Also... if this is a way to purchase (...) (...) There is the rec.toys.lego LEGO Set Review Archive: (URL) the ADEQUATE.com Set Reviews: (URL) Dan Jezek had/has a bunch of reviews up somewhere, but I can't seem to find them. --Todd (26 years ago, 21-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

  Arhcive of Reviews

So, until database driven Lugnet exists, where do I go to look for reviews? Are there normally lots or are they few and far between. Has much been done to have folks go back and "review" old sets so that folks considering auction/buy/trades get some (...) (26 years ago, 21-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Review 6047 Traitor Transport

(...) I don't think it is worth $10. It was a great buy for parts at $5, a good buy at $6.04, but not worth $10. And definitely a ripoff at $20. (...) Castle is my main theme, and I only see it as a parts source. (26 years ago, 17-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Review 6047 Traitor Transport

(...) Note the # of pieces for the price. <snipped an enthusiastic, well written review> This review caused me to take another look at one of my copies, and I still don't see it as worth 20, even with the plastic dragon nest. Good source for parts, (...) (26 years ago, 17-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)
