Re: 4x2ReVu: B-wing (slightly off topic)

(...) Using any computer GAME for stats in plain silly. (...) Exactly (...) Wrong. The A-wing has two concussion missile launchers. Realize that a concussion missle would be about the size of a lightsaber blade piece (slightly shorter though) and it (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jan-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars)

Re: 4x2ReVu: B-wing (slightly off topic)

(...) Again, it depends where you get your stats. You didn't say where you got yours, but I prefer to use the stats from the Star Wars RPG books. In the RPG, the A-wing doesn't have concussion missiles. Another consideration is that not only does (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jan-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars)

Re: 4x2ReVu: B-wing (slightly off topic)

(...) My stats come from the "Behind the Magic" PC-CDROM. It includes production models, concept art, and a description based of the ideas of the ship from the movie. (...) I checked the CD again it says A-wing have two launchers each with a rack of (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jan-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars)

Re: 4x2ReVu: B-wing (slightly off topic)

(...) The plot thickens! Especially when you consider that Timothy Zahn (Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, The Last Command) said he took _his_ information from the Star Wars RPG. (i.e. Skipray blastboat, Dreadnought (maybe some other stuff (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars)

Re: 4x2ReVu: B-wing (slightly off topic)

(...) While the story lines of games are generally considered acurate unless overridden by higher canon, the technology is usually modified for gaming or just plain wrong. For instance X-wing vs. TIE fighter's ship info section lists a Victory Star (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars)

Re: 4x2ReVu: B-wing (slightly off topic)

(...) you (...) Not really, Zahn also described turbolasers as a continuous stream instead of bolts. This is clearly overridden by the movies. Such errors are ommitted from the Encyclopedia/BTM CD. Zahn also described communications as sub-space (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars)

(...) and I here I figured Ackbar got promoted the same way other Rebel leaders got promoted -- the Imperials wiped their predecessors... Steve (25 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) I'm not sure the Mon Calamari were internal to the Empire, were they? At the very least, none of them served the Emperor, and that explains why they suddenly "appeared" among the Alliance ships. I could be wrong, however. best, Lindsay (25 years ago, 21-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: 4x2ReVu: B-wing (slightly off topic)

(...) Actually, Ackbar is said to have served the Emperor directly, and that's where he got much of his knowledge of Imperial tactics. Of course, it depends on which book you're reading... :) ~Mark (25 years ago, 23-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars)
