The Mud Masher was one of the first Technic sets I bought following
MindStorms (after my dark age).  I think it is a bit expensive for what it
is, but the design is very cool.  This model ranks with the very most
'playable' LEGO models of all!

Sorry for the non-standard review format...

8226 Mud Masher

This is the firest new Technicn Kit I have bought in about a year.
I think TLG is doiing something with the ABS - it seems almost
translucent for some of the red bits.

Overall, I like this kit. There is some dexterity involved
in assembly and the mechanism is new - but obvious to any kid
that skateboards.

At this point I'll say that the only reason I have for buying new
Technic is to check out new mechanical ideas. I certainly have
enough parts.

The new steering mounts are useful, and I like the L-shaped
half beam. As a rule, I don't like the flexi-tubes, but they are
needed to give this model some shape.

It has a high vroooomability factor - which makes it work for me.

The alternate trike model is lame.

Cheers,
