Review Traitor Transport; By Matt Martin
Rating:8 of 10
No. of pieces:140
Price:$18-21

Special pieces: Lego don't seem to be coming out with castle transports
these days, so I decided to pick this set up. It contains a black
dragon(which kick the green dragon's butt), a bat lord with spiffy armour
for his horse, 3 minifigs, 4 black dragon wings, 2 axes, a shield, a whip,
a long silver sword, and a carriage for transporting traitors(hence the
name traitor transport).

The Model: The main model is very elaborate. It almost looks like it was
designed to transport the bat lord, not a prisoner. It was a good idea by
lego to have a dragon pulling the cart, instead of having the same old
horse. The top of the cart has 4 4x4x1 pieces(like those used in the new
Ninja series), and on top of these there are dragon wings attached. On the
bottom of these there are more black dragon wings on the back, and 2 axes
and 2 1x1x2 transperant yellow pieces(often used as lasers for spacecrafts.
At the very front of the vehicle a driver sits with a whip. The actual
prison can be lifted from the cart.

Overall: Overall this is a great set, an essential purchase for all castle
collecters, or even if you only own 1 castle, still pick this set up. If
you haven't yet picked up a fright knight set, and want to see how they
are, this is a good example of the series.
However, if you don't have a castle, or don't collect castles, don't bother
as it is not a great standalone se.

(...) Note the # of pieces for the price. <snipped an enthusiastic, well written review> This review caused me to take another look at one of my copies, and I still don't see it as worth 20, even with the plastic dragon nest. Good source for parts, (...) (26 years ago, 17-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)
