(...) Like a 2x2x2 brown wooden barrel? Nope. Just a hair too big. The problem is the bottom of the tube is notched in (which provides a rail for the sled to ride on). The inner diameter of the tube is just over 2 studs, but because of the notch is (...) (24 years ago, 28-Jan-01, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.general)

Well, my 7317 arrived yesterday; had it built by late last night, here goes my review: There are 706 pieces, including: 16 3x1 Purple slopes, 5 Martians (Rigel, Cassiopeia, Arctures, Mizar and Vega) 3 Molded sleds (2 black, 1 glow-in-the-dark) for (...) Yeah i noticed there is a lot of binding in the drivetrain. It seems to be caused by the Perpendicular Axle joiner that is placed in between the bottom suspension arm on the same axle as the bottom of the shocks.. The shocks are also a bit too long. (...) Yep. The 8880 is a truly awesome set. I just wish I could find some replacement parts to fix mine : ( Whatever you do, don't let those ultra-rare suspension parts out of your sight ! (...) The 8880 is definitely one of the great sets, apart from the chain. I agree that the chain slips (quite often I find) but my main objection to the chain is simply my feeling that it should not be there at all. How many cars really have a chain (...) (...) Yeah I also like this model. The only probably I had with the drivetrain is that it's hard to motorize, but other than that it is quite innovative. And yeah, this set comes with tons of beams (I think the only set that might rival it in beam (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.reviews, lugnet.technic)

I bought three LOOM sets today, 7313, 7311, and 7314. I love these things! The martians look really cute, my favourite is Antares (in 7314). Of the mecha, the 7314 is the best one, I think. It has arms, and can move them up and down. 7313 has those (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jan-01, to lugnet.reviews)
