  Re: 8880 Pleasure...

(...) Yeah I also like this model. The only probably I had with the drivetrain is that it's hard to motorize, but other than that it is quite innovative. And yeah, this set comes with tons of beams (I think the only set that might rival it in beam (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.reviews, lugnet.technic)

  Re: 8880 Pleasure.....

(...) I agree - to a point. I was disappointed with the chain drive to the engine, as it occasionally slips, though this can be reduced. The main thing that disappointed me was the steering geometry. Because the racks are psitioned relatively high, (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.reviews, lugnet.technic)

  Re: 8880 Pleasure...

(...) Totally agreed, Jason. I also recommend the 8868 AirTech Claw Rig as a pleasant diversion. Expensive and difficult to find, but a wonderful feat of Technic engineering. It has an on-board air compressor! - Sean (24 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.reviews, lugnet.technic)

  8880 Pleasure.....

Well after approximately 5 hours, I just finished building my recently acquired 8880 Supercar, and frankly it lives up to the hype... Very good working features, drivetrain is quite remarkable. The best part is the number of beams and other useful (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.reviews, lugnet.technic)

In lugnet.reviews, Richard Marchetti writes: <<<SNIPPAGE>>> (...) <<<SNIPPAGE>>> Really, I'm happy to see them actually, although I would like to see them a little more functional. I'm hoping TLC will go further along the path and create even (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jan-01, to lugnet.reviews)

  Life on Mars Woohoo!

I bought three LOOM sets today, 7313, 7311, and 7314. I love these things! The martians look really cute, my favourite is Antares (in 7314). Of the mecha, the 7314 is the best one, I think. It has arms, and can move them up and down. 7313 has those (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jan-01, to lugnet.reviews)

(...) [snip] One small addition: I posted an model to the CAD groups, built from this set. (URL). This model uses all the parts in the set. Steve (24 years ago, 12-Jan-01, to lugnet.reviews)

(...) lot (...) Hey now...Support told me that the image qualty was poor because I did not have the correct lighting. I need to go find some studio lights I guess and see if that makes the picture as crystal clear as theirs. :) I have actually (...) (24 years ago, 9-Jan-01, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.general)
