I have the Amazon set. I like it a good amount. I love the little skeletons and it has one suspended by a chain with a 'trap' that drops it down a shaft into the room. The bridge 'collapses' into the water with the alligator and the Aztec (...) (25 years ago, 14-Nov-99, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.reviews)

(...) In my opinion, there isn't anything spectacular about the set. It has a few traps (falling bridge, hanging skeleton that drops down). A great review of a great set! I got one on sale for the equivalent of $40 US ($60 Cdn). I can't wait to get paid and buy a few more so I can get working on a big Adventure project -- and now that I think about it, having another one of those beige (...) first off, thanks to the blokes that had kind words for my reviews. it's always a blast to write those. i'm mainly wondering if anyone has picked up the 5986 Amazon Ancient Ruins set. what are the pros and cons of the set? would it be worth the (...) I still intend to get this one. I'm a sucker for those leather helmets and goggles. Of course, I'll wait until it goes on sale (but then, I *always* do that).
